Dear Friends,
Interesting Fun Fact: The second week of March (3/4-3/10 2018) has been declared National Procrastination Week.
It is a national holiday devoted to procrastination and putting off important tasks.
Wow. Who knew?
Can you relate to the following?
“I need to join the self-help group -Procrastinators Anonymous. I just haven’t done it yet.”
(Are you smiling? I think this joke is funny!)

I guess from time to time, we all procrastinate. We’ve all been there:
Procrastinating writing that essay for school.
Doing your taxes. Going to the gym and exercising.
Writing thank-you cards.
Cleaning your house.
Decluttering and Organizing.
Are you nodding your head?
As a Declutter Coach and Professional Organizer, my best advice in combatting procrastination when it comes to decluttering and organizing your house is this: Just start small. Just get in there and do it! Even for 10 minutes. Start with your kitchen junk drawer. Start with your sock and underwear drawer.
Here is what you do:
Take everything out. (Now is your chance to dust and clean!)
SORT- make your categories. Like with Like.
PURGE – donate or trash. Get the items out that you no longer need, wear or want. Let it go! Use it or lose it!
FIND A HOME – Where should everything live?
That’s it! That is how you declutter and organize. When you really think about it, decluttering and organizing, in theory, is rather easy!
